Aaron is the tenth member of the party in Final Fantasy: The On-Going Story. He is an expert sailor, and takes the role of captain of the group’s sailing vessel, the Gigyas Prey. He is convinced that he’s under a curse; however, the actual story behind his troubles has to do with a messy family history in the affairs of the Fiend of Earth, Lich. Jeice and Aaron have a shared fate: both are chased by the reapers (though for different reasons), and Aaron inadvertently comes into possession of Jeice’s magic.
Abilities[edit]
- Geomancy: Aaron can perform a variety of attacks depending on the terrain that the battle is set upon. There is a chance that the attack will Backfire and damage Aaron instead.
Possible Endings[edit]
In an unused draft of the ending by Luigi of the Pipes, it is revealed that Aaron’s father became the lord of the underworld after Hades was taken by Zel. When Lich himself realizes this, he calls off their deal and kills Aaron (and consequently Odin). Aaron returns to the group that night as a white-garbed reaper and attempts to collect Jeice. This continues until Jeice has gotten the Relic Ring from Alexander, allowing him to enter the underworld without sacrificing his life. Aaron takes Jeice to his father, who is also the cause of Ian’s Reaper Touch, and when Jeice tries to kill him, the two battle. Aaron’s father is mortally wounded and his humanity returns, as does Aaron’s, and they both help Jeice escape from the underworld before Aaron’s father dies. Aaron remains dead after this, though he was planned to rejoin the party for the final battle with Loki as a spirit.
Other Appearances[edit]
- A parody version of Aaron appears as one of the main characters of Angsty Goers.
