One day Golem went to Comicon. Well, it wasn't just any day. It was the week of Comicon, which gave him, like one week out of the year he could possibly do this, because, well, Comicon wasn't going to be there the rest of the year.
Golem could hardly imagine it. All his most favorite and least favorite fictional characters congregating in a single place. It was like Nerd Christmas... or Nerd Mardi Gras, but with less exposed breasts.
Golem thought to himself.
Golem: This is going to be great! ~teehee~

Golem walked up to the booth babes, looked for a bit, and then walked away.
As Golem walked away, he thought to himself.
Golem: Hmm.. that one girl really looked familiar...
He took a peek back. Curiously, Golem circles around the other side of the booth so that they don't see him returning. Then he peeks out from another angle.
Golem: Those golden locks... that face... that blue rubber suit! Could it be..??
That booth babe was not just any booth babe. It was Samus Aran.

Well, it wasn't THE Samus Aran, not that Golem knew the difference, but she sure did look a hell of a lot like her, and a traumatic childhood brain injury had left her believing that she actually was Samus Aran. How she reconciled this with not being raised by bird people is anyone's guess, but then again, brain injury.
Samus: Hey kid.
Golem looked around him, because he was 22, and really, Kid? That Samus was younger than him!
Samus: Yeah, the one looking around, you. Wanna save the universe.
Golem: No, ~teehee~
Samus: Too fucking bad!

Golem asked Samus, who wasn't actually Samus.
Samus: shush, boy. I'm thinking. I know Ridley is here at this convention, somewhere. We just have to find him.
Golem: Why am I doing this.
Samus: Because I'll sleep with you if we survive.
Golem had a hard time arguing against this reasoning.
