Shade

Background

A minor villain originally from Member OG 3: Subtitle Soon! and a member of the MPVP. Shade is actually a reincarnation of Shane Saccobie. He is a humanoid figure with a silver mask, black cape, and a gray ethereal body. Despite being the most powerful villain in the series for a short time, the OGers become even more powerful and his pitiful defeat at their hands has become a recurring joke throughout the series.

Bad Timeline

In Member OG 3, he is sent to Earth to punish Dark Jim for failing to take over Earth and using its inhabitants to increase his own power instead. He later attacked the OGers atop Danger Mountain in an attempt to prevent them from completing the test needed to awaken the Light Sword, which could kill him. Shade initially overpowered them especially after transforming into his "demon form". The OGers gained an advantage when they all fused together, but then Shade became even more powerful when he absorbed Dark Jim to become Dark Shade. Dark Jim was able to take control of the transformation, and ultimately Shade's body was destroyed by the Light Sword while Dark Jim was freed.

Then he appeared twice in Member OG 4: GORE-ILLA's Quest as a stubborn obstacle, battling Introbulus both times. He first battled Introbulus at the cave of the Lava Shore, but Introbulus ended the battle early by destroying the cave and causing Shade to get caught in a lava flow. He then attacked Introbulus again within Mausoleum Island. This more full battle ended with Shade once more being encased in lava.

In Member OG 5: Secret of the Ooze, he battled Introbulus and Jim when they tried to escape the Apocalypse, and was once more treated as a real threat. Introbulus and Jim were able to escape Shade after fusing into Jimtrobulus. Then he appeared in Member OG 6: VGF Moon as SwordMaster's enemy and the last opponent the OGers faced before the climactic battle with Akujin. This time he was killed only after all the OGers ganged up on him to save time.

Neutral Timeline

Shade was marooned on Earth by the MPVP. He became a bandit in order to hoard money to escape Earth and rejoin the MPVP. When he tried to loot GUER-ILLA's prison camp in OG Wars 2030, he was killed in the ensuing battle.

Other Appearances

• He also appeared in Harvest Goers '07, where he became a farmer in Nothing to escape all the humiliation. However, he was killed by Farmer Jon during his quest to take over all the farms in Nothing. Additionally, his last name was given as Phantome.
• He made one small appearance in one of the Golden Cheesecake Pirate Armada Sidequests in a parody of Member OG 4: GORE-ILLA's Quest, where he danced around until he fell into lava.

Trivia

GORE totally made up the part about Shade being a reincarnation of Shane. That's not canon at all. Neither is Golem's face.
