Excalibur is a former knight of Camelot and after a bout of immortality, became a member of the Festivity Attenders. Among his exploits is fathering Masamune and Murasame and abandoning them as infants.
Background[edit]
A senior member of the Festivity Attenders, he was originally a member of King Arthur's court and one of the knights of the round table. However, during a normal Poker game, he gambled the Holy Grail for Camelot and the sword Excalibur against King Arthur. Althought Arthur had a Royal Flush, 'Bob' somehow had TWO Royal Flushes. Although Arthur fell for it, Merlin was unconvinced and instead cursed Bob to guard the sword, Excalibur, until King Arthur's return. After the embarrassing incident, it was all covered up and they introduced 'thous' and 'thees' to keep everyone too distracted to notice what happened.
Some three hundred years later, Excalibur had a fling with a Scottish woman and sired twin sons (later to become Masamune and Murasame). Since he left so soon afterwards, the woman never learned his last name and the twins ended up taking her last name until changing their identities.
About a half century later, Excalibur became one of the Festivity Attenders. He participated in the creation and removal of SteveT from the group. He continued to be a stalwart member of the crew until they eventually disolved. In the modern era he is supposedly still around, fathering people here and there.
Good Timeline[edit]
In the year 2031, Excalibur mysteriously shows up on the doorstep of Masamune's home on Father's Day. Masamune and Murasame (who was also there) were surprised by the revelation of meeting their father, who was still alive. The meeting was short lived, as Excalibur was promptly abducted by EVIL Scientist Dude, who planned to 'erase' the fathers of all Gamehikers so their children would never cause him problems. He was eventually rescued by the League of Extraordinary Descendants and returned home to reunite with his two sons and their extended family.
Bad Timeline[edit]
Appears in SteveT's numerous flashbacks in OGers: Third Generation, but never actually shows up himself. This is his original debut OG, although he was more formally introduced in Festivity Attenders.
Abilities[edit]
Unlike his sons, Excalibur doesn't draw immortality from his sword, but rather from the life-giving effects that the Holy Grail had on him when he discovered it during the famous quest for said grail. This has had the effect of stopping his aging and advancing his ability to heal, though unlike his sons, he is only 'mostly immortal' and is quite capable of being killed. As a result of his centuries of life, he is a master swordsman and is well versed in all types of swordplay.
The sword itself is a holy blade capable of the whole smiting evil business. It has the usual properties of a magical sword, but one specific feature it possesses is the ability to grant the owner magical holy armor that is supposedly indestructible, but not without vulnerabilities. Like many giant suits of invincible armor, this one has the glaring flaw of no head protection. Unlike many giant suits of invincible armor, this flaw is actually exploited.
