Touch Solitaire is a simple DSiWare game from Nintendo. It only costs 200 Nintendo DSi Points. It features both Klondike and Spider variations of Solitaire with multiple difficulties. Although Klondike Solitaire was featured in Clubhouse Games and several games from that were made into Clubhouse Games Express downloads for DSiWare, it's an all together different program.

Gameplay[edit]

Klondike Solitaire is the more common type of Solitaire where players arrange the cards from Ace up to King in four foundations, one for each suit. In Spider Solitaire, the goal is to create piles from King down to Ace in a single suit to remove the pile from play. Players can suspend save their game either by manually selecting quit or by force shutting down the system. Both variations have their own suspend save so a game can be suspended in Klondike while a new one is started in Spider.

The game also keeps tracks of player's win/loss stats on the top screen. Both variations have their own separate statistics screen. There is a category for games won out of game played that day along with a percentage for that difficulty, all together wins for that difficulty, and a cumulative score of wins from all difficulties. Klondike only has 2 difficulties, Easy and Hard. The difference is that in Easy, any card can be placed in a blank space while in Hard, only Kings can take over blank spaces. Spider Solitaire initially has Easy and Normal modes but Hard and Expert modes can be unlocked. In addition, the game also displays the clock, battery life, and volume at all times. Uniquely, the game will tell you your win record for both variations on it's DSi Menu Icon.
