Pokémon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire is a Pokémon-themed pinball game for the Game Boy Advance. It is the first spin-off of the third generation games and is also the successor to the first generation's Pokémon Pinball spin-off.

Gameplay[edit]

The gameplay is updated from Pokémon Pinball and still features a Poké Ball as the pinball. The player can collect coins to buy items, and on the field one can try to catch Pokémon by activating one of four modes: Catch 'Em All Mode (where on can catch normal native Pokémon), Egg Mode (where Pokémon can find a baby Pokémon or at least a first form one) and Evolution Mode (in which a Pokémon can be evolved). The fourth mode is Travel Mode, which could be used to travel between one of the seven areas.

Like the previous game, the installment also has two different tables that the player can choose between which are named after the matching versions: the Ruby Field and Sapphire Field. Some Pokémon are exclusive to one field, and there are also two areas that are exclusive to each table. There are also several bonus fields which usually involve legendary Pokémon. Pokémon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire was also compatible with the e-Reader. There were only four cards which mostly added minor features.
