=Background=

Emperor of Yellow Comet, he is the father of Sonja and former student under Sensei. He is a very proud man and rooted in tradition. When Black Hole invaded, Orange Star crossed his lands. He mistook that as invasion and attacked them until his daughter convinced him they were only passing through. Afterwards he offered his aid in taking down Sturm.

During Sturm's second invasion, he proved his sense of honor several times by saving 'strategically unimportant cities' and providing his aid to his allies numerous times in the war. During the invasion of Omega Land, he stayed behind in Macro Land. That however, did not stop him from being cloned. Thanks to his daughter he is learning to act more strategically, though he still worries for her safety. Kanbei, as evidenced by the nation's troops, is slow to accept new technology, especially when it comes to computers. He also has an odd habit of slipping into third person monologue on occasions.

=Gameplay=

As the emperor of the rich Yellow Comet Empire, Kanbei spends 20% on units to get 20% more defense and offense from each one. Besides this, however, his units are well-rounded and he has no particular advantages besides his superior units.
