'''Link's Grandma''' is a supporting character from ''[[The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker]]'' who is the grandmother of [[Link#The_Hero_of_Winds|the Hero of Winds]] and [[Aryll]].

=Background=

She was a kindly old woman who was born on Outset Island and lived there into her old age. She worked hard to raise both of her grandchildren, Link and Aryll. Grandma was a very talented cook who could whip up an Elixir Soup that could raise anyone's spirit. At the same time, she was somewhat mischievous and liked to play occasional pranks on Link.

The day came when Link turned the same age as the hero of legend. Grandma gave him a set of [[Tunic|Hero's Clothes]] (or the Hero's New Clothes in the second quest) as part of the local tradition. She noted that they lived in times of peace, so Link did not have to learn swordplay like others during this birthday. Grandma was ready to hold his birthday party with the whole town and make his favorite soup, but things soon went awry when Aryll was kidnapped by the [[Helmaroc King]]. Word of this soon reached Link's Grandma, but she did not initially acknowledge it when Link arrived, most likely in denial. Link had come for the family shield, but Grandma seemed to know and took it down herself. She then handed the Hero's Shield to Link and wondered what kind of monster would take Aryll away. Grandma later waved goodbye to Link when he set off with [[Tetra]].

Her health fell during the time that Link was away on his adventure, and she seemed to experience some nightmares about her grandchildren leaving her behind. She stopped leaving the house and spent most of her days sleeping while barely eating. Link eventually returned to Outset and could restore his grandmother's help with the usage of a [[fairy]]. Grandma was thankful for this and was disappointed in herself for worrying while her grandchildren were being strong, as she believed that she should be the one taking care of them. Grandma did all she could to help Link, by brewing as much Elixir Soup for Link as he needed. She also sent Link a letter with twenty Rupees she had saved up and urged them to be safe. Aryll was reunited with her grandmother only at the very end. Link did not stay long, as he then set off on his next journey with Tetra, and this time he was seen off by both Grandma and Aryll.

*Her comment in the second quest implies that she is capable of seeing the Hero's New Clothes.
*[[Lenzo]] mentions having once met a "beautiful young lass" at Outset Island who is most likely "not as young as she used to be these days", which seems to refer to Link's Grandma and implies a potential romantic link between the two. However, this and any other implications remain unelaborated.
*A trophy and sticker of Link's Grandma appears in ''[[Super Smash Bros. Brawl]]''.
