Ooccoo and her son lived in the City in the Sky with the rest of the Oocca race. Eventually they traveled to Hyrule in search of the Dominon Rod. She checked various temples in Hyrule in search of it. Coincidentally, she wound up in all of the same dungeons that Link explored at the same times he explored them, and she always got herself stuck in a jar. After Link freed her from the jar, Ooccoo would accompany Link throughout the dungeon. She volunteered to let Ooccoo Jr. warp Link to the dungeon's entrance, and Ooccoo would save his place in the dungeon so that Link could return there with Ooccoo Jr. as long as he did not go through the dungeon's entrance.

Ooccoo finally found what she was looking for after she followed Link into the Temple of Time. Link regained the Dominion Rod, but she found that it had lost much of its potency, and she could regretfully not remember the magic spell needed to empower it. She went off in search of the statues that responded to the Dominion Rod, but Link was able to take care of it first and eventually found a Sky Cannon. Ooccoo and Ooccoo Jr. hitched a ride with Link in the Sky Cannon so that they could return to the City in the Sky. Ooccoo once more volunteered her services to Link while the city was under attack. Afterwards, she thanked Link for all his help and told him he could visit the City in the Sky whenever he wanted.

*Ooccoo's English name appears to be derived from 00cc00, which is the hexidecimal code for a shade of the color green, often mistaken for being the same as the shade used for Link's tunic in The Legend of Zelda. In Japan, Ooccoo is simply referred to by the Japanese term for one's aunt.

*Ooccoo's name appears to be derived from 00cc00, which is the hexidecimal code for the same type of green that was used for Link's sprite in The Legend of Zelda.
*In Hyrule Warriors, Ooccoo was featured on an item Card that can be used to warp with green warp portals and was initially available as part of the Twilight Princess DLC pack.
