*In the ''Pokémon'' anime, Snubbull was first shown in the Pikachu special attached to the first Pokémon movie as the leader of a gang of bullies (adding it to the group of second generation Pokémon debuting in the anime), and a Snubbull later had a prominent role in part of the Johto series. It belonged to a rich woman named Madame Muchmoney and did not like being pampered by her. Ash's group helped Muchmoney to realize that in the episode, and she began to change, but it was not enough for Snubbull. This Snubbull loved to bite on the tail of [[Team Rocket]]'s [[Meowth]], so it ran away from home to pursue Meowth. The Snubbull only appeared in four more episodes throughout the Johto series until it evolved and returned to Muchmoney.
