-Swampert evolves from Mudkip at Level 36. It is very strong, strong enough to easily drag a boulder weighing more than a ton. Swampert can easily batter foes by swinging their rock-hard arms. They also have powerful vision which allows them to see clearly even in murky water. Swampert can predict storms by sensing subtle differences in the sounds of waves and tidal winds using its fins. If it senses an approaching storm or tidal wave, Swampert will pile up boulders to protect itself as well as its nest.

-*Swampert was first featured in an episode of the Pokémon anime's Hoenn series in which it guarded the Abandoned Ship ever since it was accidentally left behind as a Marshtomp by its trainer when the ship was being abandoned. The episode featured the Swampert being reunited with and rejoining its trainer, named Tommy. Towards the end of the Hoenn series, Morrison was shown to own a Swampert that he used in the Ever Grande Conference; it and Ash's [[Corphish]] wound up both knocking each other out during their battle.
