Yuu Yuu Ki is an adventure game for the Famicom Disk System. The name translates to Brave Brave Spirit. The game was sold on two disks.
Story
The game is based on Journey to the West. Goku, the monkey king, is born from a rock and destined to journey west to achieve enlightenment. Goku is soon discovered by Chamu. As Goku travels, he meets a pig, a monster bandit, and a Buddhist priest.
Gameplay
Yuu Yuu Ki uses the same system as Shin Oni Ga Shima. The player uses menus to make your character talk or interact with objects. The picture on the top-right shows what's happening. The player is able to switch between five different characters.
Legacy
Goku and Chamu make a cameo appearance in Kirby's Dream Land 3.
