Nakayama Miho no Tokimeki High School is a dating simulation for the Famicom Disk System. The title translates to English as Nakayama Miho's Heart Throb High School. The game features Nakayama Miho, a Japanese pop idol from the 80s.
Story[edit]
You are a new student at high school. After school, you accidentally run into a girl, knocking her lucky charm out of her hand. You return the charm to her, apologizing. Later, you notice that pop star Nakayama Miho has the same charm and the girl kind of looks like her.
Later, in the music room, you confess to Miho that you know her secret. She makes you promise not to tell anyone so she can lead a normal life at school. You make the promise and know that you need to make Miho fall in love with you.
Gameplay[edit]
Tokimeki High School uses the standard adventure game interface. The player chooses commands via a menu. The game was open-ended, allowing the player to date other girls, but the goal was to date Miho.
From time to time, the game would give you phone numbers. Those were real phone numbers, playing recordings of Miho which contain hints. The numbers no longer work; most of them can't be dialed due to changes in area codes.
