Kyza is a playable unit in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn.
Background
Kyza was a talented tiger laguz warrior enlisted in the Gallian army. He was recruited around the same time as Lyre, and they both served as a part of Ranulf's unit. Kyza did argue with Lyre somewhat often, due to Kyza being more responsible and dutiful while Lyre was carefree, considering Kyza to be boring and "stuffy". His more dutiful behavior led to him becoming Lyre's superior.
Ranulf's unit later fought in the war against Begnion as part of the Laguz Alliance Army in "Part 3: Intersecting Vows". He was first seen in the "Kitten Smitten" base conversation of "Chapter 1: Laguz and Beorc", after Lyre and Shinon had gotten into a heated argument due to Shinon's racist remarks against the laguz. Kyza attempted to calm it down and asked Lyre to apologize while apologizing to Shinon himself. But Lyre refused, and when Shinon continued to provoke her, Kyza escorted her away to talk about it. He was first playable in "Chapter 4: The General's Hand", when he helped to clear a path for the laguz forces to rescue their commander, Skrimir. Then in the "Catfight" base conversation of "Chapter 7: Rivals Collide", Ranulf offered a Howl scroll for him or Lyre. The two argued over who should receive each other and insulted each other until Ranulf decided that Kyza should receive it due to his higher rank, but he then challenge Lyre to take it from him.
After the war, Kyza remained a dutiful Gallian warrior. He showed exemplary diligence and never neglected to train, even during peacetime.
Trivia
- He was originally mentioned in the B Rank Support conversation between Ranulf and Lethe in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, where his name was originally translated as Kysha.
