Background
I have been fascinated and interested in video games eversince I was a kid. I learned to play video games when I was a kid by teaching myself how to play them. As I got older, I got better at playing video games and I also grew very attached to them. As a result of this attraction to video games, I own a lot of them right now. My favorite video games are the Mario, Sonic, Pokemon, Star Fox and Super Smash Bros. games. When I was a kid, I wrote a letter to Nintendo, telling them how much I like using their products and they sent a letter back to me telling me that they are happy that I like using their products and they appreciated my interest in their products very much. Eventually, I joined the magazine that they publish, called Nintendo Power, and at the end of each month, I got one of their magazines in the mail and I checked out each one. Eventually, in this year, 2008, after I had my 18th birthday in June, I checked out this website and decided that I should join it and look around at the different sections. I entered the Mario portal and went to the Mario Enemies section, and scrolled down until I saw Shy Guy under the list. I clicked on it, and when it popped up, there was nothing on it. So, I decided to pitch in and help put that page together and I did. I put an image of Shy Guy as well as information on that character on the blank page. Now, it isn't blank because I filled it up since no one else would do it. I also entered the Pokemon portal of this website and I noticed that there were a bunch of Pokemon whose pages didn't have images for them, however, some of them already had images for them on their pages. I added images to all of the Pokemon whose pages didn't have images for them on each page. I don't know what I should work on next for this page, but hopefully I'll find something else on this website to work on that I might be interested in.
Trivia
- Although I'm now a writer for this website, I'm still in high school.
- When I met my friend Jairen Bell when we were kids, he told me about the Star Fox series. I had no idea what he was talking about because at that time, I had never heard of it and I never, not even once,
played any of the games for that series. It wasn't until this year, 2008, that I ended up getting one of the games in that series for my 18th birthday by ordering it on www.gamestop.com and they had the game that I have right now. I told my mother about it, and she ended up ordering it for me with a credit card when she was living with me. I eventually ended up getting the game that my mother ordered for me after about six weeks in the month of May towards the end of that month before my birthday came in June. The game that I ended up getting from www.gamestop.com that my mother ordered for me was Star Fox: Assault. I played it until I got to the ninth mission: Aparoid Homeworld, but I stopped playing that game because I ended up having a hard time trying to complete the ninth mission and I ended up dying every time I tried to complete it.
- For some reason, I have a lot of things in common with one of the
Star Fox characters... and that character is none other than Slippy Toad, such as having the same eye color and the same talent: super intelligence.
