The Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition is a compilation disc released for the Nintendo Gamecube. It was not available for regular sale and could only be obtained as part of a bundle pack with the Nintendo Gamecube or several other promotional offers.
Gameplay[edit]
This disc contained the following four games:
- The Legend of Zelda
- Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
- The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
- The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
It seems these four games were chosen in order to ensure that it was possible to play all of the Zelda games for the Gamecube, as all of the other games were available for the Gameboy Color or Gameboy Advance and thus could be played on the gamecube through the Gameboy Player. In addition to the four games, the disc also contained a playable demo and a highlight movie for The Wind Waker, as a well as a retrospective lookback which shows footage from all Zelda games released at the time.
Differences[edit]
There are some minor textual changes, mostly cleaning up the text in The Legend of Zelda and Adventure of Link. The games are emulated instead of being adapted to the Gamecube, and so there are some problems such as occasional lag. Majora's Mask is also known to sometimes crash.
