Densetsu no Stafy is an action game for the Game Boy Advance. The game was originally going to be a Game Boy Color game, but was moved to the Gameboy Advance.
Story
Stafy was moving things around his house, Tenkai Palace. He tripped and dropped something in the ocean. It was the Magic Jar, the object that seals away Ogura. Later, a storm blew Stafy from his home. Stafy's grandfather Rob tells Stafy about the Magic Jar. Stafy must retrieve it and seal Ogura once more.
Gameplay
Densetsu no Stafy is a platformer similar to the Mario series. However, since a lot of the game is underwater, the player swims more than jumps. The player must go through each level, defeating enemies and finding lost items.
Legacy
- Stafy makes cameo appearances in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and Super Princess Peach.
- The main Densetsu no Stafy theme appears in the Japanese version of Donkey Konga.
Sequel
Later, Densetsu no Stafy 2 was released.
