ROTOHEX (also known as Dialhex) is a color matching puzzle game that revolves heavily around hexagons. It was originally released as part the Japan-only bit Generations series for Game Boy Advance, but later released overseas as part of the Art Style series on WiiWare.

Gameplay

The playing field in ROTOHEX is a large hexagon. Little triangle pieces will fall down into the grid. The goal is to use your hexagon shaped cursor to rotate the piles of triangles and form six of them into a matching HEX. Players can control the game either holding the Wii Remote on it's side and using the D-Pad or taking advantage of the point controls. Once six HEXs of one color are made, another color is added into the mix until eventually theres eight colors in the pile. The main game is cleared when 6 HEXs have been formed with all 8 colors. Special panels will help the player that with either cause several pieces to fall off the board or clear out all pieces of one color.

There is an unlockable Endless Mode that challenges the player to make as many HEXs as they can before the board fills up. There also an unlockable Sprint Mode where the playing field is shrunk down and half of it has already been filled up with various colors. The player is tasked to form several HEXs using one of the colors. A 2 player mode is also available. Both players have their own hexagon grid to worry about in addition to a shared grid in the middle.
