Wailord is a gargantuan whale-like Pokémon that was introduced in the third generation games. It evolves from Wailmer and is the largest known Pokémon.
Information
Evolving from Wailmer at Level 40, Wailord is the largest of identified Pokémon and spends its time wandering the ocean, eating large amounts of fish with its enormous mouth. They herd prey in a pack and then swallow them in one massive gulp, usually after leaping out of the sea with other members of their pod. They are quite impressive creatures and are known to be capable of diving to almost 10,000 feet on only one breath taken at maximum capacity. As they are mammal-like, they breathe through their nostrils when raised above the sea.
