Torchic is a small flame-producing bird Pokémon that was introduced in the third generation games as one of the three starter Pokémon of Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald Versions. It is the first in a three-stage evolutionary line, with its evolved forms being Combusken and Blaziken.
Information
Torchic is a small bird that has flames stored in a flame sac that is always burning within its body. It is covered by a fluffy coat of down and is warm to hug. If attacked, it will spit balls of fire that are formed within its stomach. It breathes fire of over 1,800 degrees F, and its fireballs often leave opponents scorched black. They dislike darkness due to not being able to see their surroundings and will stick with their trainer despite following with unsteady steps.
It evolves into Combusken at Level 16.
