Gastrodon is a large, aquatic slug-like Pokémon that was introduced in the fourth generation games. It is the evolved form of Shellos.
Information[edit]
Gastrodon evolves from Shellos at Level 30. Like its earlier form, it has two different known color variations (blue and pink) that are found in separate areas. Gastrodon's entire back was covered by a sturdy shell in ancient times, and traces of this shell remain in its cells. Gastrodon are known for their pliable, boneless bodies, and they are capable or regrowing any body parts that get torn off. It usually lives in shallow tidal pools. As a defense mechanism, they ooze purple fluid to distract the opponent while they escape.

In Pokémon: Diamond and Pearl Versions, Gastrodon was uncommonly found on foot at Routes 218, 221, 222, 224 and 230 and at Fuego Ironworks. In Platinum, they appeared primarily when surfing at Routes 205, 212, 213, 218 (on foot as well) and 224 (on foot as well), Valley Windworks, Fuego Ironworks (on foot as well), Pastoria City and Canalave City.
Other Games[edit]
