Pansarus gluttonae These odd looking creatures spend much of their time during the day searching for food. These scavenging creatures compete for much of the same food that Pikmin thrive on. As such they are known for grabbing food that Pikmin are carrying and dragging it back to their hole. Although not at all hostile, they will continue to drag food back even if a pikmin is already dragging it away.

However, if enough pikmin are pulling it to overpower it, the breadbug will get pulled along with the food. Eventually once returned to the onion, the breadbug will get sucked up towards the onion and slam into it, damaging the creature. Their thick hide makes any other kind of attack ineffective.

Trivia

  • The Breadbug can be dragged/carried by approximately 3 pikmin, and is worth 3 pokos or yeild 3 seeds.
  • Louie's Cooking Notes: Breadbugs are hearty and nutritious but also bland and unimaginative. They may be palatable in a pinch, but they hold no true culinary promise.
