Altaria is an elegant humming bird-like Pokémon that was introduced in the third generation games. It is the evolved form of Swablu.
Information[edit]
Altaria evolves from Swablu at Level 35. Altaria is known for its tendency to hum in a gorgeous soprano voice which captivates most listeners. Its humming could be heard coming down the mountains from high up above. When an Altaria bonds with a new person, it will wrap that person within its wings and hum to them. Altaria can reach new heights by catching updrafts with their buoyant, cotton-like wings, and they love to soar through similarly fluffy clouds. It usually attacks by launching very hot fireballs from its mouth.
Appearances[edit]
Mainstream Games[edit]
In Pokémon: Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald Versions, Altaria could only be rarely found at the Sky Pillar. In Black and White, they uncommonly appeared at Route 14.
Other Games[edit]
A Shadow Altaria could be snagged from Lovrina at Citadark Isle in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness, and after being purified it could be traded to any of the third generation color versions. Altaria could only be obtained through evolution in Pokémon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red and Blue Rescue Teams. In Pokémon Trozei!, it was found at Endless Level 64, Forever Level 14, Pair Trozei and Mr. Who's Den. In Pokémon Ranger, it appeared at Sekra Mountain Range. In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Darkness, it could be recruited at Crevice Cave, Lower Crevice Cave and Mt. Avalanche. In Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia, it was found at Chroma Ruins.
