Genius Sonority is a Japanese game developer. Their staff is mostly programmers who have previously worked on Earthbound, Pokemon, and Dragon Quest. Their current president, Manabu Yamana, is well-known for being the producer of Dragon Quest V and Dragon Quest VI. The company recieves funding from both Nintendo and The Pokemon Company.
Originally, the group was supposed to make Pokemon games for home consoles. However, they have worked on other side projects, including a Nintendo DS game and a Dragon Quest game.
