Lord Fredrik is the leader of the Snowmads who was featured as the main villain Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.

Background

Fredrik was a large and mighty Waldough who ruled over a tribe known as the Snowmads. He wielded a massive horn with enchanted properties, that could be used to summon icy winds and dragons. He led the Snowmads in seeking out a new land to conquer. In Tropical Freeze, they set their sights on Donkey Kong Island. As they approached the island, Fredrik blew into the horn and set into effect a storm that covered the whole island in ice and snow. It also blew Donkey Kong and his allies away to a different island.

He settled his flagship at the peak of the island's mountain, where its volcano was. He remained there until Donkey Kong arrived to confront him at the end of the game. They fell into a volcanic cavern and battled him there. During the battle, Fredrik attempted to utilize the power of his horn and to fire enemies at Donkey Kong, but the enemies could be thrown back at him. He also attempted to charge and stomp on Donkey Kong. However, Fredrik could be harmed by stomping on his back while he was charging. Ultimately, Donkey Kong defeated Fredrik and sent him flying from the island. He landed in the middle of his fleet's position, with the force of his impact sending the ships flying. He had also dropped his horn on the island in the process, and Donkey Kong used its power to undo the winter that Fredrik had brought about.

• In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Lord Fredrik appeared as a Novice-rank Primary Spirit (with the added effect of raising the player character's weight). When fought against in a Spirit battle, Fredrik's Spirit would possess K. Rool, in a battle featuring a frozen floor.
