Densetsu no Stafy 3 is the third game of the The Legendary Starfy series and is the installment made for the Game Boy Advance. It introduces Starfy's sister Starly, who acts as a secondary protagonist.

Story[edit]

At Starfy's Pufftop Palace, Ogura was once more freed from his imprisonment in the Magic Jar once the jar was suddenly shattered during an unusually severe thunderstorm. Starfy's father instructed Starfy and Moe to pursue Ogura. Moe was reluctant due to his boredom with pursuing Ogura, at which point Starfy's sister Starly pushed both of them into the ocean and jumped after them.

Gameplay[edit]

Densetsu no Stafy 3 is similar to it's prequel, Densetsu no Stafy. Stafy must defeat his enemies and find hidden items to help other characters. The game's worlds are usually one stage with multiple areas rather than multiple stages. The main addition in this game is the character Starly, who has unique abilities that are needed to progress through some areas. The player can switch between the two starfish at will. This installment also featured some multiplayer minigames.

Legacy[edit]

Ports/Remakes[edit]

Sequels[edit]

The next game, released in 2006, was Densetsu no Stafy 4 for the Nintendo DS.

Trivia[edit]

  • In the eighth stage, Starfy encounters Wario who is busy doing his own treasure hunting. The two team up while Wario uses a variety of his abilities from the Wario Land games. When they encounter the boss, Wario is too scared to fight and lets Starfy do it for him. For his help, Wario awards him with his hat, a fake nose and mustache, a Game Boy Advance with WarioWare and a pile of gold.
