Information
Metapod is the cocoon form of Caterpie, evolving from Caterpie at Level 7. Its body within the shell is weak and soft, although its shell is sturdy. Metapod most constantly harden its shell to protect itself, but it can pop out of its shsell with large impacts. The shell is as hard as an iron slab, but Metapod primarily onl hardens and does not move very much while it prepares its soft innards for evolution inside its shell.
Metapod's metamorphosis does not last long, as it evolves into Butterfree at Level 10.
