Brandon is one of the seven Frontier Brains of Hoenn's Battle Frontier appearing in Pokémon: Emerald Version. He is the Pyramid King in charge of the Battle Pyramid.

Background

Brandon was a passionate explorer in his youth who considered explorations to be the grandest of adventures due to relying on one's one wits, strength, Pokémon and above all courage to succeed. He became the Pyramid King of Hoenn's Battle Frontier, considering himself its "chief', and designed the pyramid as a grand exploration in which trainers on each floor had to be defeated to light the floor and proceed onward. Additionally, items could not be brought into the pyramid although items found within the pyramid could be used.

In Emerald, Brendan/May could challenge Brandon after completing 21 and then 70 floors of the Battle Pyramid. Brandon was excited by both battles, and gave the Brave Symbol to the player upon his defeat. After the second battle, he gave a golden symbol instead.
