light trax (also known as Dotstream) is racing game involving multicolored pixels. It was originally released as part the Japan-only bit Generations series for Game Boy Advance, but later released overseas as part of the Art Style series on WiiWare.

Gameplay

light trax is primarily a racing game where you play as one of six pixels leaving behind a colored trail. The line moves to the right automatically while the player moves it up and down to avoid obstacles. Staying close to opponent lines will give the player a gradual boost in speed although boost power-ups can also be earned. There are five GPs with five courses each.

In addition to the GPs there is also the Formation Mode. In this mode, you control all six pixels at once in an endless course to avoid obstacles. However to do this you must arrange the pixels in various formations such as a single line or swapping positions. Most of the commands are not available immediately and must be unlocked by placing an overall rank of first in the various GPs.

Trivia
