Lillipup is a puppy-like Pokémon that was introduced in the fifth generation Pokémon games. It is the first of a three-stage evolutionary line, with its evolved forms being Herdier and Stoutland.

Information

Lillipup is a young but intelligent Pokémon that is known for standing up to stronger opponents with great courage. However, they have been known to flee when at a disadvantage in battle. The long hair around Lillipup's face also acts as a type of radar which allows it to detect subtle changes in its environment.

It evolves into Herdier at Level 16.

Appearances

Mainstream Games

In Pokémon: Black and White Versions, Lillipup is commonly found on Routes 1, 2 and 3.

Other Appearances

Other Media

  • In the Pokémon anime, Lillipup was shown as one of Lenora's Pokémon and was able to defeat Ash's Tepig in battle.

Trivia

  • It's name seems to be a combination of either "li'l" (the abbreviation for little) or lilliputian (which refers to a small person or creature) with "pup".
