Densetsu no Stafy is an action game for the Game Boy Advance which started the Starfy series. It entered production as a Game Boy Color game and was ultimately bumped up to the Game Boy Advance.

Story[edit]

When moving things around his home, Pufftop Palace, Stafy and accidentally dropped an object into the ocean. A storm later blew Starfy away from the palace. He met with the old man Lobber, who helped to show Starfy the way home and told him about the object that was lost, which was actually the Magic Jar which had sealed away the evil Ogura. Starfy set on a journey through the ocean back to his castle in order to seal Ogura away, and he helped others along the way who became his friends.

Gameplay[edit]

Densetsu no Stafy is a platformer similar to the Mario series. However, since a lot of the game is underwater, the player swims more than jumps. The player must go through each level, and in addition to defeating enemies, there is also a focus on helping non-playable characters, usually by retrieving lost items for them.
