A list of all playable available racers in Mario Kart Tour. All racers must be unlocked through one of several methods. One is through the game's gacha mechanic, in which the player can spend rubies (earned in-game or purchased with real world currency) to fire a pipe which will unlock a racer, kart or glider at random. Additionally, a different character will be available in the shop on a daily basis and can be purchased for an amount of coins. Some characters may also be available as Tour Gifts for progressing through a tour at a certain rate.
Drivers
Drivers are divided into three rarity levels: Normal, Super and High-End. When beginning a game, the player will receive either Toad, Toadette or Peachette as their first Driver.

Tour-Exclusive
The following are characters who were only made available in certain tours. So far two characters were originally tour exclusive before being made regularly available in later tours: Pauline (exclusive to the New York Tour before being made regular in the Winter Tour) and Monty Mole (exclusive to the Flower Tour and then made regular in the Wild West Tour). Additionally, all tour-exclusive characters are of the High-End rarity, with the sole exception of Monty Mole during his time as tour-exclusive, as he was instead Super.
Most of the tour-exclusive drivers are variants of existing characters, so they will be separated by character.
