After Olimar crash-landed in the Pikmin planet, his spaceship the Dolphin broke into 30 pieces that where scattered around 5 areas. The Pikmins had to carry the parts back to the ship, only if there where enough of them to lift the object from the ground and if the path back to the ship was clear of enemies.
