Captain Syrup was the dread female pirate who led the Black Sugar Pirates. She had a notorious reputation, although the common public seemed to think Syrup was a man. She served as the main villain during two of Wario's early adventures and made a comeback in Wario Land: Shake It!.
As the captain of the S.S. Teacup and the Brown Sugar Pirates (later the Black Sugar Pirates), Syrup's rivalry with Wario is exceeded only by Wario's own rivalry with Mario.
