Throh is a small red humanoid Pokémon that practices the martial art of judo and was introduced in the fifth generation games. It has no evolutionary line but is accompanied by the counterpart Sawk.
Information
Throh are short Pokémon that usually try to throw foes bigger than themselves. Wild Throh have been known to use vines to make their own belts for their judo gis. When their belts tighten, they get stronger. Throh always travel in packs of five.
Appearances
Mainstream Games
In Pokémon: Black and White Versions, Throh can be found at Routes 10, 15, 18, outside Pinwheel Forest and Victory Road Gate. In White they appear uncommonly, but in Black they are rarer and can only be found in shaking grass.
Trivia
- Its name, of course, is a pun on "throw", the action which is the basis of judo moves.
- Throh traveling in packs of five is a reference to the fact that real judo teams consist of five members.
