*In the anime, one episode the Johto series featured a trainer named Marcellus who owned an aquarium full of Remoraid, one of which evolved into an Octillery while battling [[Misty]]'s Pokémon during the Whirl Cup. He wound up losing, and the Octillery was shunned by the other unevolved Remoraid. The whole aquarium was later stolen by [[Team Rocket]], and the Octillery was able to leave a trail for Marcellus and Ash to follow. At the end of the episode, the other Remoraid worked together to beat Team Rocket and evolved as well as a result, at which point they finally accepted the other Octillery. Octillery has also made other minor appearances in the anime and was shown as one of Harley's Pokémon during the Hoenn series.

Octillery is an octopus-like Pokémon that was introduced in the second generation games. It is the evolved form of Remoraid.

It evolves from Remoraid at Level 25.

In Pokémon: Emerald Versions, it could rarely be found by fishing with the Super Rod at the Safari Zone's extension. In Diamond, Pearl and Platinum, they could be found somewhat commonly by fishing with the Super Rod at Routes 213, 222, 223, 224 and 230 (being rare at Routes 223 and 230), Pastoria City, Sunyshore City and Pokémon League.
