Super Mario Galaxy is the first 3-D Mario adventure on the Nintendo Wii, which features Mario traveling through space.

Story

In the Mushroom Kingdom, Princess Peach and the citizens celebrate a centennial event in which a comet passes over the kingdom and rains down magical stars and stardust. However, the celebration is disrupted when Bowser attacks with his legions. Peach is captured again by Bowser, and in a botched attempt to foil Bowser as usual, Mario winds up on a mysterious moon high above the Mushroom Kingdom. Mario gains new powers and sets off on a quest across the galaxy to rescue the princess.

Gameplay

The game is controlled with the Wii Remote and the Nunchuk together. The buttons are used to help Mario perform some moves. The remote itself can be used as a pointer to grab items, and shaking the controller can cause Mario to perform a spin attack.

In the game Mario travels along various spherical mini-planet, and he is launched from planet to planet by special cannon-like stars found on each planet.
