Froslass is an elegant female-only frozen Pokémon that was introduced in the fourth generation games. It was established as an alternate evolved form for the third generation Pokémon Snorunt, with the original option being Glalie.

Information

Froslass will evolve from female Snorunt that are exposed to a Dawn Stone. Froslass's body is actually hollow. It has an icy breath of nearly -60 degrees Fahrenheit which it uses to freeze foes. Froslass are said to secretly display their prey afterwards. Legends about Froslass passed down in snowy areas say that Froslass is actually the reincarnation of a woman who was lost on an icy mountain.

Other Games

In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Darkness, Froslass was a boss at Crevice Cave whom had frozen a Scizor in ice several years ago, and Froslass could be recruited at the ninth through thirteenth basement floors of Crystal Crossing. In Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia, it appeared at Almia Castle. In Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs, it was found at the Sky Fortress. In Pokémon Rumble, it appeared at Rocky Cave. Froslass also appeared in PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure at the Iceberg Zone, where Pikachu had to had to battle her to get her to make up with Glalie, and she also froze a lake for Pikachu.

In Other Media

• In the Pokémon anime, Froslass was featured in one episode of the Sinnoh series where Ash's group protected a Froslass and her Snorunt child from a poacher. Paul also used a Froslass during the Lily of the Valley Conference. They have also made minor appearances in other episodes and movies.
• In the Pokémon Adventures manga, Froslass was initially shown as Candice's trump card during the Diamond/Pearl arc. Candice gave it to Platina at the end of the arc, although she did not use the Froslass until the Platinum arc.
