Wailmer is a spherical whale-like Pokémon that was introduced in the third generation games. Its evolved form is Wailord.

Information

Wailmer can suck in a large amount of seawater into its body to inflate its body and become like a bouncing ball. The height of its bounces are elevated with the amount of water it takes in. Wailmer primarily lives in a water, but it can survive on land for a limited amount of time as its body loses potency after drying out. They usually come onto beaches to bounce around and play on sunny days. Wailmer also uniquely has nostrils located above its eyes, and they like to playfully squirt water out of their nostrils at others.

It evolves into Wailord at Level 40.

Trivia

  • Wailmer's name is a play on "whale", seemingly combined with "mer" (the French word for "sea").
