Dahlia is one of the five Frontier Brains of the Battle Frontier used for both Sinnoh (Platinum) and Johto (HeartGold/SoulSilver). She holds the title of Arcade Star and runs the Battle Arcade.
Background
In addition to being a Pokémon trainer, Dahlia liked to both sing and dance. Due to the roulette employed within the Battle Arcade, Dahlia believed heavily in luck and its effect on Pokémon battles. She believed that luck came to those who were happy, which is why she always tried to smile and believe in her Pokémon. She also claimed that she could not help but smile in reaction to a tough opponent. Dahlia always precluded battles by singing about luck to her challengers.
Dahlia was battled after winning 21 and then 49 consecutive battles at the Battle Arcade. In both events, she was proud and happy even after losing. Dahlia gave away the silver print after being defeated the first time, and the gold print after losing the second time.
