Ground Forces
Special Forces
Infantry
Cost: 1000 | Vision: 2 | Move: 3 | Target: Infantry, Vehicles, Copters |
---|---|---|---|
Cheapest of all the units, they're purpose is primarily for capturing cities and bases. Though armed with Machine Guns, they are only effective against other infantry units, indirect units, and transport units. They can attack all land units and Copters. |
Mech. Infantry
Cost: 3000 | Vision: 2 | Move: 2 | Target: Infantry, Vehicles, Copters |
---|---|---|---|
Second cheapest unit to deploy, they are much more useful than regular infantry. Though they suffer from a shorter movement range, they get less movement pentalties over mountains. They are armed with Bazookas, making them effective against tanks and even anti-airs. Like infantry, they also carry Machine Guns as a secondary weapon. |
Direct Units
Recon
Cost: 7000 | Vision: 5 | Move: 8 | Target: Infantry, Vehicles, Copters |
---|---|---|---|
In Fog of War, recons are extremely useful for scouting ahead for enemy units or bases. With a high movement range, they can easily move ahead and hide from view in forests. When not used for scouting, recons are effective against infantry units, but little else aside from that. They are cheap fodder for any other unit, even Mechanized Infantry. |
Tank
Cost: 7000 | Vision: 3 | Move: 6 | Target: Infantry, Vehicles, Copters, Ships, Subs |
---|---|---|---|
The classic tank, they are inexpensive and possess a good range of movement and vision. Though they have trouble with MD Tanks, they are useful against all other land units by using their cannon fire. Like other tanks, it is equipped with secondary machine guns. |
MD Tank
Cost: 16000 | Vision: 1 | Move: 5 | Target: Infantry, Vehicles, Copters, Ships, Subs |
---|---|---|---|
The heavy fire on the land that easily tears through most other land units. With their powerful cannons they can easily defeat other vehicular units, but have little defense against air units. However due to their poor vision, they require backup from other units to be effective in Fog of War. |
Neotank
Cost: 22000 | Vision: 1 | Move: 6 | Target: Infantry, Vehicles, Copters, Ships, Subs |
---|---|---|---|
Not only are Neotanks stronger than MD Tanks and have more fuel than any of the other tanks, but they have the same movement range and ammunition capacity as ordinary tanks. With its New Cannon, it is so powerful that attacking other units is usually overkill. Like other tanks, it is armed with second Machine Guns. Neotanks were designed by Black Hole (presumably by Lash), but each army was able to steal the plans to use for their own use. |
APC (Armored Personnel Carrier)
Cost: 5000 | Vision: 1 | Move: 6 | Target: None |
---|---|---|---|
Though completely unarmed and lacking a good vision range, APCs are ideal for transporting infantry and mechs (up to 2 at a time). Aside from that, APCs are the only unit that can re-supply fuel and ammo to other units , whether they be planes, ships, or vehicle units. |
Anti-Air
Cost: 8000 | Vision: 2 | Move: 6 | Target: Infantry, Vehicles, Copters, Planes |
---|---|---|---|
Armed solely with vulcan cannons, Anti-Air units are able to out fire any infantry unit with their vicious fire. A-Airs are also ideal for taking down all sorts of air units. Though they can attack other vehicle units, A-Airs have have a hard time dealing with tanks. |
Indirect Units
Mobile Artillery
Cost: 6000 | Vision: 1 | Move: 5 | Target: Infantry, Vehicles, Ships, Subs |
---|---|---|---|
An inexpensive alternative to rockets, Artillery have a decreased attack range of only 2-3 Unit Blocks. However, since they are equipped with treads, they are capable of covering harsher terrain faster than rockets. Its Cannon is effective against all land and sea units, even though if it does not always take the unit out in one attack. |
Missile Launcher
Cost: 12000 | Vision: 5 | Move: 4 | Target: Copters, Planes |
---|---|---|---|
Missile Launchers are only useful in times of air warfare, but are otherwise not worth having. But when used, they can take down any air unit in merely one blast with its long range missiles. Besides that, they are also equipped with high enough vision that in Fog of War, they can be hidden in forests without the need of an accompanying recon. |
Rocket Launcher
Cost: 16000 | Vision: 1 | Move: 5 | Target: Infantry, Vehicles, Ships, Subs |
---|---|---|---|
Though more expensive than Artillery, they are armed with powerful Rockets and have a range of 3-5 unit blocks. Unfortunately, its poor movement range can prove problematic when trying to hide them in Fog of War. Their high firepower make them useful against MD Tanks that would otherwise be difficult to take head on. Rockets are useless under direct attack and have poor defense. |
Air Forces
Copters
Transport Copter
Cost: 5000 | Vision: 2 | Move: 6 | Target: None |
---|---|---|---|
As cheap as APCs, they serve the same function for transporting infantry or mechs. Transport copters show their usefulness by being able to cross land and sea without trouble. However, they are easily one of the weakest units to deploy, since even infantry can bring them down with ease. |
Battle Copter
Cost: 9000 | Vision: 3 | Move: 6 | Target: Infantry, Vehicles, Ships, Subs, Copters |
---|---|---|---|
An inexpensive unit that is capable of attacking nearly anything. Though it does not excel against any unit in particular, it's wide range of targets is invaluable. B-Copters are especially useful with tanks, infantry, indirect units, and ships. However, they are merely easy targets for missiles, a-airs, fighters, stealths, carriers, and cruisers. |
Planes
Fighter
Cost: 20000 | Vision: 2 | Move: 9 | Target: Copters, Planes |
---|---|---|---|
With the highest movement range of all units and decent vision, they are easily the recon unit of the sky. As an added bonus, they are capable of taking out any air units with ease using its missiles. Due to their strength, they can take down any other air unit (save another Fighter) with only one attack. However, when there are no air units left, Fighters quickly become useless. |
Bomber
Cost: 22000 | Vision: 2 | Move: 7 | Target: Infantry, Vehicles, Ships, Subs |
---|---|---|---|
The most expensive air unit, Bombers are the titans of the air. Though defenseless against Fighters, Cruisers and Anti-Airs, the bombs they are armed with are deadly. Given first strike, it can even do heavy damage or completely destroy Anti-Airs and Cruisers, which will otherwise take down a Bomber. |
Lander
Cost: 12000 | Vision: 1 | Move: 6 | Target: None |
---|---|---|---|
As the only transport unit capable of loading vehicles, they are vitally useful for transporting units across the sea to battle or defend. However, landers are otherwise useless, since they are easily destroyed by subs, battleships, air units, or land units when in range. Landers and Black Boats are the only ships capable of moving on to shoal terrain. |
Cruiser
Cost: 18000 | Vision: 3 | Move: 6 | Target: Subs, Copters, Planes |
---|---|---|---|
Cruisers are underestimated for their usefulness. Though carrying copters may not seem useful, they are pretty useful against aircrafts in wide open sea maps. Aside from that ability, they are equipped with anti-air guns to take down air units. Not only that, Cruisers are the only unit able to take out submerged subs (aside from other subs). |
Submarine
Cost: 20000 | Vision: 5 | Move: 5 | Target: Ships, Subs |
---|---|---|---|
The recon units of the sea, submarines possess a high vision range rivaled only by recons. Using torpedos, it is a deadly enemy to other ships, especially when the submarines hides itself from view by submerging underwater. When underwater, only cruisers and increased fuel consumption are its enemies. |
Battleship
Cost: 28000 | Vision: 2 | Move: 5 | Target: Infantry, Vehicles, Ships, Subs |
---|---|---|---|
With a fire range greater than even rockets, boasting a range of 2-6 unit blocks. Battleships make deadly enemies in the sea, especially when well concealed in Fog of War. Armed with a powerful cannon, Battleships are deadly to all units within it's fire range. However, battleships are unprotected from air units and to submerged subs. If placed incorrectly, they could even be hit by rockets or artillery fire. |
