Golett is an ancient and seemingly artificial Pokémon that was introduced in the fifth generation games. Its evolved form is Golurk.
Information
Golett are believed to have been created by the science of an ancient and mysterious civilization, possibly the same ancient Unovan civilization that was based in the Desert Resort. It has an energy burning inside of it that allows it to move, but no one has been able to identify this mysterious energy. It evolves into Golurk at Level 43.
Appearances
Mainstream Games
In Pokémon: Black and White Versions, Golett was commonly found in Dragonscale Tower.
Trivia
- Its name is a combination of "golem" (meaning an artificial creature) with the suffix "-lett" (which describes something that is small and/or young).
- As implied by its name, Golett (as well as Golurk) is based on the concept of the golem, which is the Jewish legendary creature that could be brought to life through magic. It was previously used as the namesake for the first generation Pokémon Golem which is otherwise not based on the legend.
