Stanley was the protagonist of the third Donkey Kong game.
Background
Stanley's background is a mystery. All is known is that he once battled Donkey Kong and an army of bugs to protect a greenhouse. Stanley was armed only with a spray-gun, which he he used to take out the bugs and stun Donkey Kong in the various areas of his greenhouse. Stanley has not been heard from since.
Trivia
- Stanley also appeared in the Game & Watch game "Greenhouse", where he battled more bugs in the greenhouse.
- Stanley later appeared as a trophy in Super Smash Bros. Melee. Additionally, Mr. Game and Watch could use Stanley's spray-gun as one of his moves.
- He is commonly speculated to be related to Mario or Luigi, mostly due to the similar overalls.
