Ferrothorn is a thorned metallic pod-shaped Pokémon that was introduced in the fifth generation games. It is the evolved form of Ferroseed.
Information
Ferrothorn evolves from Ferroseed at Level 40. In this form, it resembles a metallic pod and gains three long spiky feelers which it swings around to attack its opponents. Ferrothorn's steel spikes can reduce even boulders to rubble. They usually attach themselves to ceilings and fire their steel spikes at targets that pass below them.
Appearances
Mainstream Games
Ferrothorn has not been found in the wild and can only be obtained through evolution.
Trivia
- Its name is a simple combination of "ferrum" (the Latin word for "iron" which is also its title on the periodic table of elements) with "thorn".
