King Dedede is the tyrannical ruler of Dream Land and seems to constantly be up to some mischief. Much like Meta Knight, King Dedede seems to be a rival to Kirby and the two often fight. However, King Dedede has teamed up with Kirby and tried to help Dream Land in his own misguided way.

Background

King Dedede first appearred in Kirby's Dream Land, when he stole all the food in Dream Land as well as the Sparkling Stars. Kirby defeated him and returned order to the land.

In reality, King Dedede hasn't caused much trouble himself. Most of the time, when he does something wrong he's being possessed by another being, usually Dark Matter.

Sometimes, King Dedede helps Kirby out. He has been playable in four games.

Abilities

King Dedede is skilled in hammer combat. He can inhale enemies and shoot them out, much like Kirby. He can also use the inhaled air to fly the way Kirby does.
