Gameboy Wars 3 is the last in the Famicom Wars series to be developed by Hudson Soft. Though it was never released outside of Japan, it would inevitably be the last game in the series not to see an international release as well as being the last Wars game in Japan until the much delayed Gameboy Wars Advance 1 + 2 compilation of Advance Wars and Advance Wars 2.
