Information
This game makes various modifications from the original beyond removing it from the A Link to the Past remake. This was due to Shigeru Miyamoto's desire to enrich the remake and make it more accessible, as the requirements for playing the original version seemed to defer players from giving it a chance. The most notable improvement is that it uses DS Wireless Play so that game link cables and extra cartridges are no longer required. This remake also follows the example of Four Swords Adventures by making a single-player mode possible. The main variation in this mode is the the one player controls only two Links.
This version also adds two extra modes, which each consist of three levels. One is the Hero's Trial, which is a more challenging composition of environments from the game's levels and unlocks the Hurricane Spin upon completion. The other mode is the Realm of Memories which has levels based on areas of past Zelda games - specifically The Legend of Zelda, A Link to the Past and Link's Awakening. That mode could be completed to unlock the Master Sword.
