The Hyrule Historia is an artbook that was released as a bookend the 25th anniversary of the The Legend of Zelda series on December 21, 2011 in Japan. It was released to a limited extent, and it remains unknown if it will have an international release.

The book contains previously unreleased concept artwork for the entirety of the main Zelda series with notes. The book has become more well-known for the chronology portion of the book, which finally reveals the official order of the Zelda series. This section goes though the Zelda timeline and clarifies the events of the games, clearing up many questions and establishing some of the rules of the Zelda timeline. The book was overseen by Eiji Aonuma, which certifies the canon status of its contents. In addition to this, the book contains a new manga by Akira Himegawa which acts as a prequel to Skyward Sword.
