Game Boy Wars 2 is the sequel to Game Boy Wars Turbo and like the previous game was developed by Hudson rather than Intelligent Systems. It was released on the Game Boy in 1998 and never released outside of Japan. The basic gameplay and features are retained from the previous game. New features in this one included displaying player's range of movement and color graphics with the Game Boy Color. This game featured 54 new maps.
It was followed by Game Boy Wars 3 in 2001.
