Mario Kart Wii is the seventh title in the Mario Kart series. It was first announced at E3 2007 on July 11th.
Gameplay
Mario Kart Wii features the same gameplay that has been a staple to the series. Players can choose from multiple racers with a variety of karts available as well. The game has been confirmed to be WiFi enabled (like Mario Kart DS), but also allow for Battle Mode to be played online, a first in the series.
Gameplay footage shows the characters riding alone on each kart, suggesting that the dual riders from Mario Kart: Double Dash!! has been abandoned.
The game will have different methods of play and will come packaged with the official Wii Wheel peripheral.
